There are some senior sessions that feel especially meaningful, and Miss L's was one of them.
L traveled from Cass City, Michigan, to meet me at Port Crescent Beach State Park for a beautiful June evening on the shores of Lake Huron. With warm sunshine, gentle lake breezes, and one of those incredible Michigan sunsets that seem to last forever, Port Crescent Beach created the perfect backdrop for celebrating this exciting season of her life.

A Full-Circle Moment
One of my favorite parts of L's senior session happened before we even started taking pictures.
Several years ago, I had the privilege of photographing L's older sister during her own senior session in Bay City, Michigan. Seeing her again—this time standing beside L, helping with outfits, encouraging her, and making her laugh—made the evening even more special.
There is something incredibly rewarding about photographing multiple siblings. Watching families grow and celebrating these milestones together is one of the greatest honors of my job. It reminded me that photography isn't simply about creating portraits; it's about preserving the stories that connect generations of a family.

Others were full of laughter—especially with her sister nearby cheering her on.
